Kleenex Hand Towels Carton Wins Innovation Award

by Office ~ May 13th, 2010

LPI partnered with Great Northern Corporation in producing a package that won the Innovation Award in the Paperboard Packaging Council 2010 National Competition. The unique shape was designed to meet towel rack and counter-top functionality and includes an inside printed window to aid single-pull dispensing, a unique 45 degree grain direction scoring profile, custom-designed interior flaps that form and seal on automated equipment, and a tear-out perforation that provides an easy to open, clean window that maintains holding integrity.

The package is printed with tinted UV metallic inks to create a metalized effect with optimum sheen and a high rub formula for ink and coating to prevent abrasion and scuffing on embossed elements. A custom rotary tool improved score bend ratios to facilitate automated machine filling and provide a crisp fold line.

LPI did extensive pre-production emboss testing and engineered equipment modifications and process improvements to streamline the manufacturing process and facilitate high volume production.

July 4th ’09 Promo Celebrates the Holiday in Patriotic Style

by Office ~ July 7th, 2009

LPIs reputation for creative, attractive and functional promotional pieces that celebrate seasonal holidays has gained a boost with these latest entries. Reminiscent of a soda jerk or military fatigue hat, but re-designed and brought to life with 6 foils, multi-level embossing, die cutting and meticulous hand assembly, these hats are not only a tribute to our great American holiday, but quite appropriate for wearing at festivities of all kinds. Also note that they are all American made, and that includes the presses used to produce them.

These beauties were inspired by the success of the ‘06 July 4th Patriot Salute Uncle Sam Hats. The idea this year was to come up with attractive and a bit more understated creations that would showcase the creative capabilities of fine graphic specialty services and allow customers, prospects and friends to stand up and celebrate the “Good Old USA”. As of this posting, photos of July 4th “sightings” are coming in. We welcome your input.
