Overview & Objectives -

Age of Conan: Hyborian Adventures is a multiplayer online game based on the world and works of acclaimed author Robert E. Howard. In Age of Conan, players enter Hyboria with thousands of their friends to find a never-ending world where you can shape your character, your class, your weapons, your friendships and your destiny.

LPI was thrilled to play a key role in producing the multi piece package set that includes: Outer hard bound case/box, a 128 page plus cover perfect bound guide book, a full color map reproduced on antique linen cloth, a 4 disk CD box set, a game manual and a 64 page plus case bound cover booklet, the exclusive excerpted edition.

Involved early on with the packaging group spearheading the project, LPI was charged with creating a graphic specialty treatment for the outer hard bound case/box that would provide real visual impact along with lasting durability.

Metal appliqué (a hot stamping process using a durable heavy weight metal foil ideal for relief ornamentation) was applied to printed and wrapped flat cases/boxes and multi level embossed/debossed. A special antiquing solution was applied to the appliqué areas and hand detailed to create a period look and a one of a kind uniqueness.

The Achievement -

The box set has received rave reviews, but more importantly the product launched quickly with initial brisk sales and continued interest thanks to pre-release orders, excellent marketing and continuous software upgrades.
